A Happy, Simple Life

Do you find yourself rushing to get ready in the morning? Do you grab a breakfast bar or fast food on the way to work without taking time to sit and enjoy breakfast? Do you feel stressed, over whelemed, or over committed? If so, you're not alone. I found this article and they estimates "That 75 to 90 percent of all visits to primary care physicians are for stress-related problems, and a 2004 survey by the American Psychological Society revealed that 54 percent of Americans are concerned about the level of stress in their everyday lives." Crazy right? The benefits of creating a simpler life can help reduce the stress you experience each day and support you in living a happier and healthier life. I've been thinking a lot about stress and how much it really effects not only my life but the lives of my family, friends and co-workers. About 6 months ago, my job began to get much more stressful. The economy is coming back which is good, but I feel that It happened over night. I wasn't ready for such a huge change over night! To say the least, I didn't expect it and I didn't know if I could continue to work there because of this new pressure. My life changed drastically then. Stress really does change things up a bit. I've never felt stress like that in my life. I didn't have time for anything! I would work over 13 hours a day and get off Sundays and Mondays. Although, on Sundays I would have to plan my primary lessons and go to church for 3 hours, that was a job for sure! Then on Monday I would come into work for a couple hours to get somethings done. Stress was taken to an entire new level for me. About 2 months ago I was getting these feelings like I was going to pass out and I would see my eyes start to close into a tunnel to the point where I was going to black out. That would happen to me at least twice a day. Sometimes, my chest and neck goes all red. I knew it was because of the stress. At that point I knew something had to change, I needed to live my life and be able to go home and not worry about work, or this or that. I needed to find a way I could keep doing what I'm doing at work and have less stress in my everyday life.

That's why I came up with "A Happy, Simple Life" Tips from me, Crystal, on how to live life with less stress and in a more "simple" way. Of course I'm no doctor or psychologist. I just know that everyone has stress in their life and I don't want anyone to feel that level of stress I went through or any level of stress for that matter. I want to give out my advice on things you can do to live more simple. My "goal" is to post a new "Happy Simple Life" blog every Thursday, so stay tuned. If you miss a couple I hope to be putting them in the page to your left that says "Happy Simple Life". If you have any advice or tips on how to relieve stress or ways that can help you live life more simple;
facebook or email me: Crystaltrue08@yahoo.com I'll put it up.
I believe that one of life's keys is simplicity!
