I had a couple of cute ideas for my primary lesson last week.
It was on Service and how we are the Lord's helping hands.
First I made little jars with little fuzzy's in it and a cute little saying:
"We are surrounded by those in need of our attention,
our encouragement, our support, our comfort, our kindness.
We are the Lord's hands here upon earth, with the mandate to serve
and to lift his children. He is dependent upon each of us"
-President Thomas S. Monson
Then it goes on to say:
May we ask ourselves the question,
"What have I done for someone today?"
Then the instructions on it says:
Place a warm fuzzy in the jar after you do something for someone
else and feel WARM and FUZZY all over.
They turned out so cute! My littles loved it!
I even had a Mom email me and tell me thanks so much and
it has helped him do more kind things and he is so much more
excited to do service for others!
I love hearing that. I love hearing when my littles actually take something
I teach them home and learn and build their testimony on it.
I'm amazed at how smart these 5 year olds are!
I'm so thankful for my calling :)
After we did that, we made flowers and put the saying:
"I can show Heavenly Father my love by doing service for others,
just like the bishop does" They colored and wrote of the flowers. Then
we glued them to sticks and put them in a vase and I had them take it to the bishop.
He loved it! It was so cute :)
Here's a picture of a couple of my kiddos.
